Treatment Vouchers

Please ensure you have read the self checklist regarding chlamydia before you collect your treatment, this is available here: Chlamydia Voucher Self Checklist | Lothian Sexual Health . If you are unsure about how to use your voucher and would like to speak to a nurse, please call 0131 536 2108.

If you have a positive chlamydia result you will need antibiotics to treat the infection. This is usually a week’s course of an antibiotic called Doxycyline.

How do I get treatment?

You can get treatment from us, from your GP or from a local pharmacy.

To get treatment from a pharmacy we send you a voucher via text message.  You take this voucher to your chosen pharmacy.

If you choose the text message option you will be sent a personal code to your mobile. It looks like this:

Important:

• You must avoid sex for 7 days after treatment.
