Young Peoples Services Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book online for all young people’s sexual health clinics?

You cannot book online. Read the section called “How can I be seen?” for more information.

What information do I need to share when I contact you?

You need to share your name, date of birth and a contact phone number, so we can register you on our system. You do not need to tell us why you need to be seen. That can be discussed (confidentially) with the doctor or nurse in the clinic.

Why can’t I get through on the phone line?

Sometimes our phone line is busy. We are sorry if you are not able to get through, please try phoning back, we want to help. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.

Can I bring a friend, family member or support worker to the clinic?

If you want another person with you at the appointment, or to tell us about any additional support needs, please speak to a member of staff.

It is our policy to speak to you on your own for some of the time, but you can bring someone in for the rest of the consultation.
