As lockdown eases, we are looking forward to offering more face-to-face services again. We have all been working hard behind our locked doors, in new and exciting ways to provide care by phone or video link. But we all wish we could go back to our normal busy clinics in person.
Our whole team is actively working on plans to see as many people as possible. We must still have safe social distancing and PPE to keep everyone safe when they’re in our buildings. Many of our staff are still needed in other key areas in the NHS. Some of our buildings have been turned over to other priorities during the pandemic. So we still have to prioritise those people with the most urgent problems.
The good news is that we can still support you in a number of ways on the phone or on video links. We are able to organise supplies of medications including contraception and treatment for infections and other problems. Some STI testing is available by post. We can see some people for a face-to-face appointment after phone discussion when the problem is urgent and there is no other way to help.
