Sexual Health Services for visitors to Edinburgh
Accessing urgent sexual health services while visiting Edinburgh
If you are visiting Edinburgh, but are not a resident in Scotland, you may be able to access urgent / emergency sexual health services from our team. You can call our teams and discuss the support available, if you:
- Have recently been sexually assaulted
- Require HIV PEPSE (post exposure prophylaxis for HIV infection)
- Require treatment for a positive STI test
- Are showing symptoms of an acute infection related to sexual health
Should you require emergency contraception, please visit a local community pharmacy for advice in the first instance.
Please be aware, should you contact the team for requests for support regarding routine screening, contraception advice and management of long term issues, you may be signposted elsewhere, or ask that you seek this support on your return to your place of permanent residence.
Thank you for your understanding.
